Grand Slam by J.T. Cheyanne
Now, having said that, I have to say that I very much enjoyed reading this book and can't believe I waited so long to read it! I love the characters in this book, these seemed so real that I felt like I was watching the story play out before my very eyes. This book is a funny, light hearted, romantic story about two people who despite their differences are perfect for each other. I loved the humor that each and everyone of the characters displayed through out the book, especially the kids, I laughed so hard at their antics throughout the story. I swear I think I laughed and sighed through out damn near the whole book! I loved the main characters Brock and Spencer, who despite their differences seem to compliment each other perfectly! And the love scenes *fans self* HELLO! I just have to say that you should either be alone or with the one you love when you read these cause they will definitely have you hot under the collar.
I do believe that J.T. Cheyanne has a home run *hehehe baseball humor* on her hands! I can't say enough about how great Grand Slam is! My only complaint about this book is that it wasn't long enough, I didn't want it to end, it's that good! So if you're looking for a great book that will make you laugh out load and warm your heart then this is a book that I highly recommend you read!
Note: This book contains M/M sex scenes that may cause you to break out into a sweat!

OMG Pancakes! by Jim Belosic
Have lots of time in the mornings? Got a creative streak? Have picky eaters? Then this cook book might be the one for you. I tried to make a few of the pancakes featured in this book and I’ve got to be honest with ya’ll (something I always try to do) my pancakes SUCKED! To top it off I don’t have the time it would take to make these colorful and kid friendly pancakes, plus the kids in my life aren’t all that picky about what they eat. My Opinion Might Not Be Yours but I just don’t see the point in trying in I don’t have the time or the skill to do it. Maybe it’s because the kids will eat anything I put in front of them
. If you answered any of the questions above than this would be a great cookbook for you, if you didn’t well maybe you’ll know some that YOU would recommend it to.

Debbie Macomber’s Christmas Cookbook
This is my first cookbook review so bare with me! This cookbook reminded me a lot of the show Semi-Homemade with Sandra Lee on Food Network. There are decorating ideas, holiday tips, and some pretty great recipes. Now I didn’t try ever single recipe because let’s face it Suzy Homemaker I ain’t but I did chose a few and the ones I picked out turned out pretty good. I really liked this cookbook because it had some really great, colorful pictures and the recipes were fairly simple. Which was great for me because I’m one of those people that can’t really cook to save my life, I can make a few things that come out pretty good but otherwise that’s it. Anyways, if you’re like me and a lot of those words that they use in cook books and on cook shows don’t make a lot of sense to you than you’ll really appricate this cook book. Now dinner parties aren’t my thing and My Opinion Might Not Be Yours but the tips and ideas in this book sound like a lot of fun. They would probably really add a little something to any party you throw. So if you or someone you know, likes to cook and enjoys author Debbie Macomber than I suggest you go out and get this book. This is like the ultimate Christmas guide and it’ll make a great gift, to yourself or someone else.
Note: The cookie recipes in this book….AWESOME!! And several of the recipes, tips, and gift ideas are things that kids can help with!

A Time For Us by Christine Holden
Once upon a time I use to love reading historical romances and every now and then I still do. I especially enjoyed the ones where a modern day woman would go back in time and knock a man off his self appointed pedestal. This is one of those rare time traveler romances where the woman comes forward in time to end up with a modern man. Maybe that was what made this book difficult to swallow, to me this book was a pretty big miss. Now don’t get me wrong, there were some parts of the book that were pretty decent and the facts were obviously well researched but it wasn’t a story that I would want to read ever again. As a matter of fact through out most my reading the book I wished I had a stiff drink!! I mean, damn!! I felt like I was being taken on an emotional roller coaster and I wanted to get the hell off! The heroine was pretty bright, I mean she would have to be to have accomplished what she did in the book but the hero…all I wanted to do was reach through this book, wrap my hands around his throat and shake his ass! One minute he is lovey dovey and the next he is losing his temper and yelling at her. Talk about blowing hot and cold. Who knows maybe its because I’m from the “modern” age but I’m not about to get into a man that let’s his mother dictate his life while he juggles me and some other chick, taking us all for a ride because he can’t grow a set!! Anyways, I read the whole book because like I said there were some parts that I found rather amusing. Would I recommend it….ummmm probably not. Would I read it again….let me think….NO! If you like historicals, time traveling or a bright heroine than this might be the book for you, if not than I don’t think you’d be very interested but like I always say My Opinion Might Not Be Yours.

Some Like It Kilted by Allie Mackay
My Opinion Might Not Be Yours but I didn't really like this book as a matter of fact it was all I could do to finish the book. I've read a couple of books by Allie MacKay before and they were pretty good but this one just wasn't getting it for me. The book seemed to be all over the place, it would start to get good and then it would go off on a whole other aspect to the story. It was almost like reading the first rough draft of a story, there were lots of good ideas but it didn't have any structure or flow to it. I also was not feeling the romance or the fantasy/paranormal aspect, it wasn't really there, almost like it was just out of reach. A hint and that was it. I liked the ghosts, Scottish ghosts at that, but they seemed to be the only well developed part of the book. I liked the small amount of humor in the book and the cover of the book was pretty nice too, but that was it. I don't know that I would recommend this book to anyone except maybe a Scotophile who will read any and everything that has to do with Scotland. Of course even they might not feel the book was worth the time.

Shelly Laurenston (CAUTION! May Cause You To Laugh Out Loud, May Cause Snorting!)
Okay I know some of ya’ll are sitting there thinking OMG! the bitch is alive! LOL! That’s right! I’mmmmm baccccckkkkkk! *grin* Now, just so ya’ll don’t think that I’ve been doing absolutely nothing the whole time I’ve been away I thought I should post about this positively, awesome new author I found! Okay she’s not brand new but she is to me. If you know about her already yay you and shame on you for not telling about her sooner! Anyways, this woman is freakin’ fantastic! I just LOVE her! I’ve only read three of her books so far but I am soooo in love with them! Shelly’s books are full of hot sex, lovable characters, and a funky sense of humor that could revival my own.
I just finished The Mane Squeeze last night and I could NOT put it down! I was laughing so hard I fell out of my bed at one time and was rolling around holding my sides during much of the book. I found it so funny in fact that my sense of humor wants to marry Shelly’s sense of humor and make humorous little babies! LMAO! Ya'll know I love a funny book and if an author can make me laugh then they are going to have me
as a fan for as long as they are published. Now ya’ll know the drill, My Opinion Might Not Be Yours, so I suggest you go out and pick up one of Miz Laurenston’s books and form your own opinion!
Check out Shelly’s site for a list of all her amazing books. http://www.shellylaurenston.com/

Touch of Crimson by Sylvia Day (COMING SOON)
I'm on the shelf about this book. I'll be honest with ya, I had to apply my "20 page/2 Chapters" rule to this book. For those of ya'll who are scratching your heads going "What the hell is that?" I'll tell ya. I have a rule that I apply to all the books I read. If I can't get into the book or it doesn't catch my interest in the very beginning then I try to give it a fighting chance by reading the first 20 pages or the first 2 Chapters, which ever takes the longest. Anyways that's what I had to do with this book. After the first couple of chapters I finally started to get into it and I have to say that it is unlike any book I have ever read before. There are angels, vampires, and Lycans but that's not what I found to be unique about this book. It is the way that Sylvia Day has written this compelling story of good vs. evil, love and hate. Now I'm ready to read the next book in the series, so bring it on Miz Day! An exceptional, passion filled book that is well worth the read especially if you love paranormal but don't take my word for it check it out yourself cause as ya'll know My Opinion Might Not Be Yours.
Coming to shelves October 4, 2011
